Services:
Summary:
With over 140 years of experience, FLABEG has become a leading company in glass finishing. Continuous investment in innovative technologies enables us to deliver optimal solutions for a wide range of glass and mirror applications worldwide. With passion and creativity, our more than 1,200 employees generate substantial added value for your products.
In 2019, FLABEG decided to outsource its basic IT services to external providers. As part of a strategic realignment, the internal operations department was to be gradually outsourced to one or more service providers over a period of several years.
Solution:
CosH subsequently took over the international server operations for several FLABEG locations. In addition to managing the backup infrastructure and VMware clusters, Windows-based server roles such as AD, DNS, DHCP, DFS, RDS, etc., were also transferred directly to CosH. A CosH remote management solution was implemented to enable centralized management, and FLABEG’s service management system was utilized.
After several years of successful collaboration, the first- and second-level user helpdesk was also outsourced to CosH.
In line with the FLABEG Group’s cloud strategy, CosH migrated the existing Exchange infrastructure to the Microsoft Cloud. The nearly 650 mailboxes were migrated from Germany and China as part of a “lift and shift” project that spanned several months. CosH handled both project management and the migration and licensing.

Business Benefits:
By consistently outsourcing core services, FLABEG avoids the need to maintain and further develop internal IT resources. The IT services provided by headquarters can be scaled as needed and are subject to clear cost structures. The implementation of the SD-WAN network made it possible to securely route network traffic directly to the Internet at each location, thereby paving the way for cloud applications.
