Initial situation:
The construction company LUXHAUS has had a good business relationship with my Workplace GmbH for many years. In 2019, Mr. Immel was introduced to the innovative concept of Workplace as a Service. The special feature was the Workplace as a Service portal, which met with immediate approval from Mr. Immel. The collaboration with Workplace made it possible to incorporate ideas from an end-user perspective into the project. The design of the portal was specially tailored to the needs of LUXHAUS.

Project Objective:
The goal for LUXHAUS was to order IT equipment in an economically sensible way that is always identical in use, in order to relieve the internal IT support and to ensure comprehensive support. Prior to Modern Workplace, LUXHAUS had already purchased and leased equipment from Lenovo. Digital Workplace should simplify this process. The aim was to simplify lifecycle management and standardize work equipment.
Procedure:
After the development team incorporated LUXHAUS‘ requirements, the construction company was added to the Workplace Dashboard. Master data such as company locations, departments and employees were entered into the portal, which was quick and easy. Today, the entire LUXHAUS company is mapped in the dashboard with the individual workstations and cost centers, which provides an excellent overview.
Solution:
Workplace as a Service offers LUXHAUS a fast, scalable and innovative solution. “It’s a very good product all around,” emphasizes Mr. Immel. The technical and economic organization of Device as a Service relieves both the commercial management and the management. DAAS is a logistics process that fits LUXHAUS and is also excellently tailored to the company. Besides, the ready-made corporate images on the devices are very convenient.

Digital Workplace has simplified the process for deploying work devices. The preconfigured dashboard with its direct online store functionality offers a special experience. The portal contains only devices that LUXHAUS actually needs. The administrative effort is minimal and uncomplicated thanks to the online store and leasing contracts that run in the background. WAAS eliminates the need for internal ordering and the leasing option is well received by the commercial management. LUXHAUS values Workplace’s direct, local customer service. Support is fast, straightforward and provided by well-trained staff that Mr. Immel has come to know. My Workplace ensures a fast response time at all times, which the construction company could not guarantee internally.
